Working in fashion as a make up artist and assisting  top fashion show make up artists such as Pat McGrath, Lucia Pieroni, Val Garland, Petros Petrohilos, Dick Page, Charlotte Willer, Fulvia Farolfi, Pep Gay, Alex Box, Sam Bryant, Makky, Hannah Murray, Andrew Gallimore, Miranda Joyce over the last 10 years has been an inspiring education. What is evident is that every cat walk make up artists has their own approach. Having assisted top fashion show make up artist Dick Page at the last two seaons for Celine and Sonia Rykiel at Paris Fashion Week it is clear that having an understanding of the fashion show location and lighting conditions is crucial. Sonia Rykiel's show this season was in a big space called Les Halles which had plenty of day light. The fashion make up for the show mainly consisted of brown colours and strong brow shapes. To the eye the make up looked quite subtle yet looking at the fashion show pictures on style.com the make up looked a lot stronger since the daylight conditions of the location enhanced shadows. Assisting fashion make up artist Miranda Joyce at Streeters duing Julian McDonald show in London the set up was very intimate, more like a showroom set up where models walked past row of chairs in ornate surroundings of a Portland Place mansion. The journalists would look upto a models face so it was important to check the make up from sitting down angle. Areas such as under the chin and bottom liplines needed extra attention.

Even still after being in the job for more than 10 years and having worked as a fashion make up artist at high profile shows such as Lanvin, Celine, Sonia Rykiel, Thierry Mugler, Georgio Armani, Michiko Koshino, Aquascutum, Giles Deacon, Vera Wang, Wunderkind, Ungaro, Giles Deacon, Petra, KTZ, Kinder Aguggini, Wintle, Gharani Strok, Betsey Johnson, Tommy Hillfiger, Ashley Isham, Louise Golding, , Peter Jensen, Camilla Staerk, Jen Kao, Michael Angel, Rock & Republic, Bora Aksu, Noel Stewart, Jasper Conran, Tristan Webber, Stephen Webster, John Rocha, PPQ, Victim, Julia Clancey, Red or Dead,  Veryta, Custo Barcelona and Luella, i still learn new things every time.  And it has enabled to prepare me to head my own fashion shows at London Fashion Week.
