We live in a time where the media covers sport and musical talent to extreme exposure. Even people with no talent such as ordinary people featured on reality tv are now quoted to be celebrities. It seems important to magazines and brands to employ celebrity make up artists that are linked with A-lister actors or high profile celebrities of one kind or another. Celebrity make up artists will work with make up and cosmetic brands to promote their latest products using celebrity endorsments. It is not so much top models that sell cosmetics, fragrance and beauty brands, today it will be pop musicians or popular actors beautified by their personal celebrity make up artists that create a must-have stamp of approval. This is evident in especially the fragrance industry, every pop star from Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Byonce and Jordan will plug their own perfum.  Some like Nicola Roberts, a natural redhead, launch a whole cosmetics line having spotted a gap in the market for porcelain skinned fans. Even though she would be the spokes person it is likely her personal celebrity make up artist taught her what works for her complexion. A-list female actors such as Sharon Stone, Kate Winslet are used for high profile beauty and cosmetic campaigns seen worldwide.

Over the last year Nat van Zee has been branded herself as a celebrity make up artist in magzines and as a spokesperson for Witch Cosmetics. Her celebrity clients include Gemma Arterton, Paloma Faith, The Vaccines,  Little Boots, VV Brown, Coco Sumner, Diane Vickers, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Sunday Girl,The Ting Tings,Tinie Tempah, Lilly Cole, Agyness Dean, Pixie Geldof,  Nicola Roberts, Dakota Blue Richards and Alexis Jordan.
