A good beauty make up artists understands how important skin prepping is. Prior to applying make up i will examine a models face to whether  its dehydrated or greasy and i ask if she is allergic to certain cosmetic products or beauty brands. I will choose certain beauty products that help me achieve the make up look i have in mind. For instance if i am creating a matt make up look i will choose mattifying beauty products  such as Yonka PG creme. With the change of the seasons a little beauty pampering does not go amiss, especially exfoliating is important to create that perfect canvas for beautiful make up. I love Yonka creme 305 that is gentle enough to even exfoliate eyelids if that were necessary. I apply the beauty product with my fingers, massaging it into the skin in circular movements until its starts to peel off, i will then remove it with a damp powderpuff buffing the skin again in circular motions. Next i spritz some Dermalogica Multitoner on the face to revitalise and awaken skin, removing it with a sheet of tissue. Parched skin will get hydrated with Yonka creme 28 and under the eye i favour Dermalogica Multi Vitamin Power firm for eyes and lips which is a perfect base for concealer to adhere to. Ren liphoney is great on lips since it stays clear of petrochemicals, paraben and other chemicals often found in other lipbalms that actually dry out lips when used often.

As a beauty make up atist i get invited to attend beauty press days at which beauty and cosmetic brands such as Dior, Nars, Givenchy, REN, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown launch their latest products stuffed with the latest technologies and top achieving ingredients. Multi-use products, gel and longlasting products that are high in pigments and sheer in texture are top priority of beauty make up artists and consumers alike. Technology has come a long way and even cheaper beauty products undergo rigorous quality testing to live up to high standards.
